2020 Ford F-150
Where the 2020 Ford F-150 cabin filter sits, and the Motorcraft number FP-79. The owner's manual does not print a removal procedure.
Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.
Main source: 2020 F-150 Owner's Manual, cabin air filter and Motorcraft parts (opens in a new tab), Ford Motor Company, published 2019-07-01, read 2026-10-15.
Numbers on this page come from the cited source. Match the engine before you use a capacity or a torque. Do not work under a vehicle held only by a jack.
None listed
The manual tells you to see a dealer to replace the filter. It does not list a tool or a glove-box screw.
| Item | Figure | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Location | Behind the glove box | Cabin air filter section |
| Cabin air filter part | Motorcraft FP-79 | Motorcraft parts tables for the engines in this manual |
The climate-control section says the cabin air filter is behind the glove box. It filters particles for comfort, cleanliness, and the climate-control parts.
The same section says to see an authorized dealer for more information or to replace the filter. It does not describe removing the glove box. Stop there.
The Motorcraft parts tables list cabin air filter FP-79 for the 2.7L EcoBoost, 3.0L diesel, 3.3L, 3.5L EcoBoost, and 5.0L. Replace it on the scheduled-maintenance interval, not on a guess.
A glove-box sketch would have to invent the hinge, the damper, and which way the filter slides. The manual does not say any of that. It only places the filter behind the glove box and sends the job to a dealer.
Outbound links only. BaySheet does not sell parts. Confirm fitment on the retailer page. Amazon links are searches for the part name plus this vehicle. They are not a part number.
