2020 Ford F-150
2020 Ford F-150 automatic transmission fluid by engine section. The quarts are approximate dry-fill capacities, not a drain-and-fill amount.
Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.
Main source: 2020 F-150 Owner's Manual, version 3, July 2019, transmission capacities (opens in a new tab), Ford Motor Company, published 2019-07-01, read 2026-10-15.
Numbers on this page come from the cited source. Match the engine before you use a capacity or a torque. Do not work under a vehicle held only by a jack.

ULV sections say to use only MERCON ULV. The 3.3L section says to use only MERCON LV.
| Item | Figure | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| 2.7L EcoBoost | MERCON ULV. Approximate dry fill 13.2 qt (12.5 L). Motorcraft MERCON ULV, WSS-M2C949-A. | 2.7L automatic transmission capacity |

| 3.3L | MERCON LV. Approximate dry fill 13.6 qt (12.9 L). Motorcraft MERCON LV, WSS-M2C938-A. | 3.3L automatic transmission capacity |
| 3.5L EcoBoost | MERCON ULV. Approximate dry fill 13.2 qt (12.5 L). | 3.5L EcoBoost automatic transmission capacity |
| 5.0L | MERCON ULV. Approximate dry fill 13.2 qt (12.5 L). | 5.0L automatic transmission capacity |
| Transmission code on the label | Code 6 is the six-speed automatic 6R80. Code G is the ten-speed automatic 10R80. The code is on the Safety Compliance Certification Label. | Transmission code designation |
The 2.7L, 3.0L diesel, 3.5L, and 5.0L blocks say transmissions that require MERCON ULV should use only MERCON ULV. The 3.3L block says the same thing about MERCON LV.
Each block marks the quantity as approximate dry fill. A fluid change can take a different amount.
Code 6 is 6R80 and code G is 10R80. This page does not assign those codes to engines, because the code table and the fluid tables are separate.
The dry-fill warning is the reason this sheet does not tell you to pour the full quarts during a fluid change. The certification label is how the manual says to identify the transmission.
