Run a fingertip along the edge and feel for roughness. Clean the blade with washer fluid or water on a soft sponge or cloth.
Pull the wiper blade and arm away from the glass. Lift the primary locking clip. Press the secondary locking clip. Remove the blade. Keep the arm from springing back while the blade is off.
Install in reverse and make sure the blade locks. The Motorcraft number listed for the windshield blade on the 2.7L, 3.0L diesel, 3.3L, 3.5L EcoBoost, and 5.0L tables is WW-2248.
The change procedure refers to figures for the arm and the two clips. Those figures are not copied here. Use the owner's manual if you need to see which clip is the primary one. The written steps are lift the primary clip, press the secondary clip, and pull the blade off.
