Run your fingertips over the edge of the blade to check for roughness. Clean the blades with washer fluid or water applied with a soft sponge or cloth.
Pull the wiper blade and arm away from the glass. Lift the primary locking clip. Press the secondary locking clip. Remove the blade. Do not let the arm spring back against the glass.
Install in reverse and make sure the blade locks. The parts tables list windshield wiper blade WW-2247 for every engine in this printing.
The locking clips are described in the steps. The manual's figure of the clip is not redrawn here. Ford Protect lists wiper blades among covered maintenance items. That is a service-plan sentence, not a mile interval for the blade.
