2019 F-150 engine air filter is Motorcraft FA-1883. Gasoline and diesel procedures differ, and the normal interval is 30,000 mi.

Element
Motorcraft FA-1883 on the 2.7L, 3.0L diesel, 3.3L, 3.5L EcoBoost, and 5.0L tables.
Normal interval
Replace the engine air filter every 30,000 mi (48,000 km).
Diesel restriction gauge
Check the gauge at least every 7,500 mi (12,000 km), or every 500 mi (800 km) or two weeks in extremely dusty conditions. Change the element when the gauge reads near the change-filter line and the gauge is yellow. Reset it by pressing the reset button after a new element is installed.
Do not start the engine with the air cleaner removed, and do not remove it while the engine is running.
Use only the listed element. The wrong element can cause severe engine damage the warranty may not cover.
Do not let foreign material enter the air induction system.
The same 30,000 mi block also says to replace the engine-mounted and frame-mounted fuel filters. The gasoline fuel filter is a separate sentence. It is a lifetime filter in the tank and does not need regular replacement.
Symptoms
On the diesel, a gauge that sits near the change-filter line and is yellow is the manual's reason to change the element.
Loss of power after heavy snow or extreme rain can be a restricted diesel intake. The manual tells you to clear the inlet or let the element dry, then reset the gauge.
Diagnosis
FA-1883 is the element on every engine table in this printing, including the diesel. The 2024 5.2L element FA-1922 is not in this book.
Dusty or sandy gasoline use says to replace the engine air filter as required. The diesel line in that block says to inspect the restriction gauge and replace the filter if necessary.

Steps
01Gasoline
Release the clamps that secure the air filter cover. Carefully lift the cover. Remove the element from the housing. Install in reverse. Change it at the proper intervals. The normal schedule says every 30,000 mi (48,000 km).
02Diesel gauge
The restriction gauge is in the upper housing. Check it when you open the hood for maintenance, or at least every 7,500 mi (12,000 km). In extremely dusty conditions, check it at least every 500 mi (800 km) or two weeks, whichever comes first. Replace the element when the gauge is near the change-filter line and the gauge is yellow. After the new element is in, press the reset button.
03Snow and heavy rain on the diesel
Heavy snow or extreme rain can restrict the intake and make the engine lose power or shut down. After snow, clear the housing inlet and reset the gauge. After extreme rain, the element dries after about 15–30 minutes of highway driving, then reset the gauge.
Notes
At every oil-change interval the normal schedule also says to inspect the air filter restriction gauge and replace the filter if necessary. That line sits with the diesel exhaust fluid and the fuel-and-water separator, so it is the diesel check, not a second gasoline interval. The gasoline procedure still follows the 30,000 mi (48,000 km) replacement.
Common mistakes
Changing the gasoline in-tank fuel filter on the 30,000 mi air-filter line. The fuel-filter section says the gasoline filter is lifetime and integrated with the tank.
Skipping the diesel gauge reset. The manual says you must press the reset button after a new element is installed.

How often is the 2019 F-150 engine air filter replaced?
The normal schedule says every 30,000 mi (48,000 km). The element on the parts tables is Motorcraft FA-1883. Dusty gasoline use says to replace it as required, and the diesel gauge has its own check intervals.
Does the diesel use a different element?
The diesel parts table also lists FA-1883. The difference is the restriction gauge, the reset button, and the snow and rain notes.
