2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2020 Silverado engine air filters are GM 84121219 with the high-capacity cleaner and GM 84121217 without it. The gasoline housing uses three cover screws.

The parts table does not say which trucks have the high-capacity cleaner. The gasoline cover in the procedure is held by three screws.

The figure is captioned 5.3L V8 (L84) shown, and similar for the 2.7L L3B, 4.3L LV3, 5.3L L82, and 6.2L L87. Loosen the air duct clamp, disconnect the outlet duct, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the three screws, then slide and lift the cover.
Lift the filter out. Tap and shake it away from the vehicle to release loose dust. Replace it if it is damaged. Reverse the removal steps to put the cover back.
Place the vehicle in Park, display Air Filter Life on the driver information center, move to Reset, and confirm the reset. Trucks without the life system use the maintenance schedule for the interval.
The 6.6L V8 (L8T) figure uses eight screws and a different sequence. That engine's cooling row is labeled 2500 and 3500, so the eight-screw steps are not copied onto this 1500 page. The housing figure is not redrawn. A diesel air cleaner is in the Duramax supplement, not in this gasoline parts table.
