2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2020 Silverado wheel nut torque is 140 lb ft in the English column. The metric column prints 190 next to a unit glyph, not spelled-out letters.
Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.
Main source: 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Owner Manual, GMNA-Localizing-U.S./Canada/Mexico-13337620, CTC 1/27/20, capacities and specifications (opens in a new tab), General Motors, published 2020-01-27, read 2026-10-15.
Numbers on this page come from the cited source. Match the engine before you use a capacity or a torque. Do not work under a vehicle held only by a jack.
Torque wrench
The capacity table prints one wheel-nut torque. It does not print a tightening sequence.
Each figure stays with the source named in the last column. If a sequence is a figure in that source and the order is not printed in the text, this page does not invent the order.
| Fastener | Torque | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Wheel nut | 140 lb ft. The metric column prints 190 next to the manual's unit glyph. | Capacities and Specifications, wheel nut torque |
The capacities table lists wheel nut torque as 140 lb ft in the English column and 190 in the metric column.
The capacity note says the figures are approximate and that fluid level should be rechecked after filling. The wheel-nut cell is the torque specification in that same table.
When a wheel is reinstalled, the manual says to see wheel nut torque under Capacities and Specifications. No cold tire-pressure table is printed next to this torque, so no pressures are added. The 2018 Silverado sheet reads the same English figure as 140 lb ft.
