Terms

Terms of use

15 October 2026. These terms are between you and Jordan Coates, the individual who runs BaySheet from Manitoba, Canada. BaySheet is a free website of car repair notes. There is no account.

Information only

The guides, checklists, and other pages are information. They are not a repair order, a diagnosis of your vehicle, or advice from a mechanic. They are not a substitute for the official service manual for your vehicle. Consult a qualified mechanic when you are unsure, and always follow that vehicle's official service manual.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. Jordan Coates does not warrant that a page is complete, current, or fit for a particular repair. Accuracy is not guaranteed. A spec can be wrong, outdated, or for a different engine than the one in your vehicle.

Use at your own risk

You use the site at your own risk. You assume the risk of property damage, injury, and any other loss from relying on a page, a tool list, a link, or a video. That assumption of risk stays with you. Match the engine and the model year before you use a number. If you are not sure you can do the job safely, stop.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Jordan Coates and BaySheet are not liable for damage, injury, lost time, or any other loss connected with your use of the site, or with your being unable to use it. That includes direct loss and indirect loss. Some rights under Manitoba law, or under Canadian law, cannot be waived. Those rights stay in place. Where the law does not allow a limit, the limit applies only as far as the law allows.

Indemnity

If a claim is made against Jordan Coates because of how you used the site, the work you did, or something you sent in, you will cover the resulting loss and reasonable legal costs, to the maximum extent the law allows.

Third-party links and videos

Links and videos leave BaySheet. A video on a guide is a third-party video. BaySheet does not endorse the channel, the method, or the numbers in that video. Specs on a BaySheet page take priority over a video. Shops, manual sites, and Amazon set their own terms.

Affiliates and ads

BaySheet may earn a commission if you buy through an affiliate link. You do not pay more. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Sponsored slots are labeled. A commission does not change a cited spec.

Advertising cookies are described on the privacy policy. The disclaimer is the short version of the safety limits on the guides.

Manitoba law

These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Manitoba. Disputes go to the courts of Manitoba, unless a law that cannot be waived says otherwise.

Changes to these terms

These terms can change. The date at the top is the version you are reading. The new terms apply when they are posted on this page. If you keep using the site after a change, you are accepting the new terms.
