2017 Ford F-150
2017 F-150 gasoline engine air filter. The July 2016 owner's manual lists Motorcraft FA-1883 and a four-step clamp procedure.
Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.
Main source: 2017 F-150 Owner's Manual, second printing, edition date July 2016, changing the engine air filter (opens in a new tab), Ford Motor Company, published 2016-07-01, read 2026-10-15.
Numbers on this page come from the cited source. Match the engine before you use a capacity or a torque. Do not work under a vehicle held only by a jack.
No driver size is named
The procedure says to release the clamps and lift the cover. It does not name a socket.

Install in the reverse order. The Motorcraft element on the 2.7L EcoBoost, 3.5L, 3.5L EcoBoost, and 5.0L tables is FA-1883.
The 2020 air-filter guide is a later book. It also lists FA-1883 for the gasoline engines and adds a diesel procedure. Use the year of the truck for the interval and the warnings.
