2017 Ford F-150
2017 F-150 tire rotation is due at every oil-change interval, and not past one year or 10,000 miles. The rotation pattern is not printed in the pages read.
Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.
Main source: 2017 F-150 Owner's Manual, second printing, edition date July 2016, scheduled maintenance (opens in a new tab), Ford Motor Company, published 2016-07-01, read 2026-10-15.
Numbers on this page come from the cited source. Match the engine before you use a capacity or a torque. Do not work under a vehicle held only by a jack.
Torque wrench
Lug nuts are 150 lb.ft (204 Nm) on clean M14 x 1.5 threads. The order is figure E145950 and is not redrawn.
Tread-depth gauge
The maintenance line says to measure tread depth. It does not print a minimum depth in the schedule paragraph that was read.
| Item | Figure | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| When | At every oil-change interval the information display indicates. Do not exceed one year or 10,000 miles (16,000 km) between service intervals. | Normal maintenance intervals and the interval footnote |
| What the line says | Rotate tires, inspect tire wear, and measure tread depth. | Normal maintenance intervals |
| Lug nuts after the rotation | Retighten to 150 lb.ft (204 Nm) within 100 miles (160 km). Threads clean. The tightening order is a figure and is not redrawn. | Wheel lug nut torque specifications |
Each figure stays with the source named in the last column. If a sequence is a figure in that source and the order is not printed in the text, this page does not invent the order.
| Fastener | Torque | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Wheel lug nuts, M14 x 1.5 | 150 lb.ft (204 Nm) | Wheel lug nut torque specifications. Order is a figure and is not reprinted. |
Rotate the tires when the display calls for an oil change, and do not go past one year or 10,000 miles (16,000 km).
The schedule sentence does not say which tire moves to which corner. This page does not draw a cross, a rearward cross, or a directional pattern.
M14 x 1.5 lug nuts, 150 lb.ft (204 Nm), threads free of dirt and rust. Use Ford recommended replacement fasteners. Retighten to that torque within 100 miles (160 km).
Monthly checks in the same chapter include the tires, including the spare, for wear and proper pressure. A pressure number is not in that sentence, so none is added here.
The lug-nut figure and the warning about hub contact are on the 2017 lug-nut guide.

Part
No replacement part is listed for a rotation
The job is the tires already on the truck, plus a torque check. A worn tire is a different decision. The schedule line does not print a replacement depth.
