Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.

Torque wrench
The book prints a torque range. If you are unsure the nuts are tight enough, it says to have a dealer inspect them.
Lug wrench
The spare-tire steps tighten the nuts with the lug wrench in the order shown, after the vehicle is lowered. Do not use a power impact wrench on an antitheft nut.
| Item | Figure | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Tightening torque | 108-147 N·m (12-14 kgf·m, 80-108 ft·lbf). | Specifications, lug nut tightening torque, and mounting the spare |
| Threads | Metric. Do not apply oil or grease, and do not tighten past the recommended torque. | Mounting the spare tire |
| Order | After the vehicle is lowered, tighten the nuts in the order shown in the manual. The figure is not redrawn here. | Mounting the spare tire |
Each figure stays with the source named in the last column. If a sequence is a figure in that source and the order is not printed in the text, this page does not invent the order.

Remove dirt and grime from the wheel, the hub, and the hub bolts with a cloth before the spare or a replacement wheel goes on.
Beveled edge inward. Do not oil them. Use the original nuts or metric nuts of the same configuration. Hold an antitheft key square to the nut and do not use an impact wrench.
Turn the lug wrench to lower the vehicle, then tighten in the order shown in the manual to 108-147 N·m (80-108 ft·lbf). If you are unsure, have a dealer inspect the nuts. Set the tire pressure afterward.
Cold pressures are on the tire pressure guide. The spare-tire steps say to check inflation pressure after the nuts are tight, including the spare.
The tightening-order figure is a drawing in the manual. The text says "in the order shown" and does not list a number sequence, so this page links the manual instead of inventing the order.

Part
Metric wheel lug nut
The warning says to reinstall the same nuts or use metric nuts of the same configuration. A non-metric nut will not secure the wheel.

No. The warning says oil or grease on the lug nuts and bolts can let the wheel come off, and overtightening can damage them.
The spare-tire steps say to tighten the nuts in the order shown. That figure is not described in words, so it is not redrawn here.
