2017 Dodge Grand Caravan
2017 Grand Caravan cold tire pressure is the placard on the driver's B-pillar or door edge. This book does not print a psi table for the van.
| Item | Figure |
|---|---|
| Cold pressure | The placard on the driver's side B-pillar or the rear edge of the driver's door. This book does not print a psi number for the van. |
| Cold | The vehicle has not been driven for at least three hours, or has been driven less than 1 mile (1.6 km) after sitting for three hours. Do not let cold pressure exceed the maximum molded on the sidewall. |
| Temperature | Pressure changes about 1 psi (7 kPa) per 12 F (7 C). Do not bleed off the normal 2 to 6 psi (13 to 40 kPa) rise from driving. |
| Check | At least monthly, including the spare, with a pocket-type gauge. Reinstall the valve-stem cap. Also check before a long trip. |
| Tire service kit threshold | Below 19 psi (1.3 bar), the kit instructions say the tire is too damaged to drive. At 19 psi or higher, inflate to the pressure on the driver-side door label. 19 psi is not the placard. |

Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.

Tire gauge
The monthly check says to use a good quality pocket-type pressure gauge and not to judge pressure by looking at the tire.

Driver's side B-pillar or the rear edge of the driver's door. Use the front, rear, and spare numbers printed there. This page does not substitute a number.
Three hours parked, or less than 1 mile after a three-hour sit. Use a pocket gauge. Put the valve cap back on. Do not bleed the normal hot rise.
19 psi decides whether the tire service kit can be used. The inflation target after that is still the door label.
Lug-nut torque is a different specification. It is on the wheel lug nut guide.
The placard illustration in the manual is not redrawn. Open that page for the label location if the B-pillar and the door edge are both confusing on a particular van.

Part
Tire valve stem cap
Reinstall it after checking or adjusting pressure so moisture and dirt stay out of the stem.

In the tire service kit steps, below 19 psi (1.3 bar) means the tire is too damaged to drive. At 19 psi or higher, inflate to the door label. It is not the placard pressure.
At least once a month, and before a long trip, including the spare, with a pocket gauge, on a cold tire.
