2017 Dodge Grand Caravan
2017 Grand Caravan 3.6L coolant is 13.4 quarts of Mopar OAT meeting MS.90032, plus 2.9 quarts with a rear heater. Replace at 10 years or 150,000 miles.
| Item | Figure |
|---|---|
| 3.6L cooling system | 13.4 quarts (12.6 liters), including the heater and the recovery bottle filled to MAX. Add 2.9 quarts (2.8 liters) if the van has a rear heater. |
| Type | Mopar Antifreeze/Coolant 10 Year/150,000 Mile Formula OAT meeting FCA Material Standard MS.90032. Do not mix it with HOAT or a globally compatible coolant. |
| Mix | At least 50% OAT coolant meeting MS.90032 and distilled or deionized water. Up to 70% if temperatures below -34 F (-37 C) are expected. The book says to ask a dealer about that higher mix. |
| Level | Engine off and cold, the bottle should be between the ranges marked on the bottle. The radiator normally stays full, so the pressure cap is not removed for a routine level check. |
| Change | The coolant text says it can be used up to 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km) before replacement. The chart says to flush and replace at 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km), whichever comes first. |

Engine off and cold, the level should be between the marks on the bottle. Do not remove a hot pressure cap for this check.
The system quantity is 13.4 quarts. Add 2.9 quarts only when a rear heater is fitted. Use OAT meeting MS.90032. The book says to contact a dealer if coolant has to be added, because some vehicles need special tools.
Flush and replace at 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. Dirty coolant with sediment is a dealer flush, not a color guess.
Oil quantity is not this fill. It is on the engine oil guide.
The manual does not print a coolant-hose diagram that this page could redraw. The capacity footnote is the heater and the recovery bottle filled to MAX.
