2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2024 Silverado 1500 cold pressure is on the tire label. Wheel nuts are 140 lb ft. The book does not print a cold psi number.
| Item | Figure |
|---|---|
| Cold pressure | The Tire and Loading Information label shows the original equipment tire size and the recommended cold inflation pressures. The book does not print one psi number for every truck. |
| When cold | Check once a month or more, including the spare if the vehicle has one. Cold means the vehicle has not been driven for at least three hours or no more than 1.6 km (1 mi). |
| Cool weather | The low tire pressure warning light may come on in cool weather when the vehicle is first started, and then turn off as the vehicle is driven. That can be an early sign the pressure is low and needs to be set to the label. |
| Malfunction | If the low tire pressure warning light flashes for about a minute and then stays on, the TPMS may not be working. The light and the Driver Information Center message come on at each start until the problem is corrected. |
| Wheel nut torque | 140 lb ft (190 N-m). |

Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.

Numbers on this page come from the cited source. Match the engine before you use a capacity or a torque. Do not work under a vehicle held only by a jack.
Tire gauge
The manual says to use a good quality pocket-type gauge. Looking at the tire is not a pressure check.
Torque wrench
The capacities table prints 140 lb ft for the wheel nuts.

Each figure stays with the source named in the last column. If a sequence is a figure in that source and the order is not printed in the text, this page does not invent the order.

The label is on the center pillar. It shows the original equipment sizes and the recommended cold pressures. The load-limit example weights in that chapter are examples. They are not the tire pressure.
Check at least monthly, including the spare if equipped. Cold means at least three hours parked, or no more than 1.6 km (1 mi) driven. Add air if the cold reading is low. Release air at the valve stem if it is high. Put the valve caps back on.
The light may come on in cool weather at the first start and then go out as the truck is driven. Inflate to the label pressure. If the light stays on, stop as soon as possible and set that label pressure. A message can name the tire.
The capacities table prints 140 lb ft (190 N-m). A numbered tightening order was not copied from an illustration, so none is drawn.
The capacities table pairs 140 lb ft with 190 in the metric column. This page reads that metric figure as newton-metres, which is how this manual prints the column beside the English torque.
Some inside pages of this PDF still carry the 9/22/23 CRC line. The cover is part 85516379 C, and the contents page is CRC 3/1/24. The tire chapter and the capacities table were read from that file.
Outbound links only. BaySheet does not sell parts. Confirm fitment on the retailer page. Amazon links are searches for a real part name plus this vehicle. Tool rows do not get a product search. The search is not a part number.
