Check the reserve tank when you refuel. The engine and radiator must be cool. If the level is below MIN, add the specified coolant until it reaches MAX, then inspect the cooling system for leaks.
Turn the radiator cap 1/8 turn counter-clockwise and relieve pressure. Push down and turn counter-clockwise to remove it. The level should be up to the base of the filler neck. Add coolant if it is low, then tighten the cap fully.
The 1.56 US gal (5.91 L) line is a change capacity, including 0.16 US gal (0.61 L) left in the reserve tank. Maintenance Minder item 5 is replace engine coolant. No separate mile interval for that item was in the chart that was read.
