2021 Ford Explorer
2021 Explorer wheel lug nuts are M14 x 1.5 at 150 lb-ft. Retighten them within 100 miles after any wheel disturbance.
Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.
Main source: 2021 Explorer Owner's Manual, first printing, August 2020, wheel lug nut torque (opens in a new tab), Ford Motor Company, published 2020-08-01, read 2026-10-15.
Numbers on this page come from the cited source. Match the engine before you use a capacity or a torque. Do not work under a vehicle held only by a jack.

| Wheel lug nut, M14 x 1.5 | 150 lb.ft (204 Nm) | Wheel lug nut torque specifications |
Remove corrosion and dirt from the wheel and from the hub, brake drum, or brake disc surface that the wheel touches. Check the wheel pilot bore.
The table lists bolt size M14 x 1.5 and 150 lb.ft (204 Nm), with threads free of dirt and rust.
After a tire rotation, a flat-tire change, or any other wheel removal, retighten the lug nuts to that torque within 100 miles (160 kilometers).
This torque section does not print a tire-pressure placard. Cold inflation stays on the door label for the vehicle you are working on.
