2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee
2019 Grand Cherokee 3.6L oil is API-certified SAE 0W-20, 6 quarts with the filter. The 5.7L with-filter quantity is 7 quarts. Its grade is not assigned here.
Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.
Main source: 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Owner's Manual, fluid capacities and fluids and lubricants (opens in a new tab), FCA US LLC, published 2019-01-01, read 2026-10-15.
Numbers on this page come from the cited source. Match the engine before you use a capacity or a torque. Do not work under a vehicle held only by a jack.

The capacity table is a with-filter quantity. It is not a drain procedure, and no drain-plug torque is printed.
| Item | Figure | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| 3.6L, with filter | 6 quarts (5.6 liters). API Certified SAE 0W-20 meeting FCA Material Standard MS-6395, such as Mopar, Pennzoil, and Shell Helix. | Fluid capacities and engine oil, 3.6L |
| 5.7L, with filter | 7 quarts (6.6 liters). No viscosity is listed on this sheet. | Fluid capacities, 5.7L |
| Oil filter | Mopar engine oil filter or equivalent. No part number is printed. | Fluids and lubricants, engine oil filter |
| Fuel | 3.6L: 87 octane, 0-15% ethanol, do not use E-85. 5.7L: 89 octane recommended, 87 acceptable, 0-15% ethanol, do not use E-85. Both tanks approximately 24.6 gallons (93.1 liters). | Fuel requirements and fluid capacities |
The servicing section and the fluids-and-lubricants table both call for API Certified SAE 0W-20 meeting MS-6395. The with-filter capacity is 6 quarts.
The capacity table prints 7 quarts for the 5.7L. That same cell labels the oil SAE 0W-20, while the 5.7L viscosity heading and the fluids table say SAE 5W-20. This sheet does not choose between them. The manual says the filler cap shows the recommended viscosity.
The fluids table recommends a Mopar engine oil filter or equivalent. It does not print a part number.
This is the 2019 Grand Cherokee owner's manual, not the separate SRT book. No drain-plug torque is printed, so none is added. The 5.7L grade is left off because the manual's own tables do not agree.
Outbound links only. BaySheet does not sell parts. Confirm fitment on the retailer page. Amazon links are searches for the part name plus this vehicle. They are not a part number.
