The 2019 lubrication table used here is for engine model A25A-FKS, a 2.5L inline four. With the filter the reference fill is 4.8 qt (4.5 L). Without the filter it is 4.4 qt (4.2 L).
The XA50 maintenance-data page says to use Toyota Genuine Motor Oil or equivalent ILSAC GF-6B, viscosity SAE 0W-16. If 0W-16 is unavailable, SAE 0W-20 may be used and must be replaced with 0W-16 at the next change. Match that against the filler cap before you buy oil.
The 2019 manual says to warm the engine, shut it off, wait more than 5 minutes, and check the dipstick. The later XA50 wording says to wait about 5 minutes and keep the level between the low mark and the refill upper limit. Stop when the dipstick is in range.
Capacity and viscosity are cited from two printings of the RAV4 manual material. The 2019 lubrication table supplies the quarts. The XA50 maintenance-data page supplies 0W-16 and GF-6B. Neither page describes the drain plug or the filter housing in a way that can be drawn, so this sheet has no diagram.
