GM's 2019 U.S. and Canada chart lists the Sierra 1500 with filter as 6.0 qt of SAE 5W-30 for the 2.7L L3B and the 4.3L LV3, and 8.0 qt of SAE 0W-20 for the 5.3L L82 or L84 and the 6.2L L87.
Sierra HD on that chart includes 6.0L and 6.6L diesel capacities. Sierra Limited is a 5.3L L83 at 8.0 qt of SAE 0W-20. Neither row is this 1500 sheet.
The chart is a with-filter capacity. It does not print a drain procedure. After the refill, read the dipstick on level ground and do not leave the level above the full range.
These four Sierra 1500 rows use the same volumes and grades as the 2019 Silverado 1500 rows on the Chevrolet page of the same PDF. They are filed separately so a Sierra search does not land on a Chevrolet page. No diagram is included.
