2018 Ford F-150
2018 Ford F-150 lug-nut torque from the February 2018 owner's manual. The tightening order is a figure and is not redrawn.
Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.
Main source: 2018 F-150 Owner's Manual, third printing, February 2018, wheel lug nut torque (opens in a new tab), Ford Motor Company, published 2018-02-01, read 2026-10-15.
Numbers on this page come from the cited source. Match the engine before you use a capacity or a torque. Do not work under a vehicle held only by a jack.
Torque wrench
Retighten to the specified torque within 100 miles after any wheel disturbance.
| Item | Figure | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Lug nut torque | M14 x 1.5. 148 lb.ft (200 Nm). Threads free of dirt and rust. Use Ford recommended replacement fasteners. | Wheel lug nut torque specifications |
Each figure stays with the source named in the last column. If a sequence is a figure in that source and the order is not printed in the text, this page does not invent the order.
| Fastener | Torque | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Wheel lug nuts | 148 lb.ft (200 Nm) | Wheel lug nut torque specifications, M14 x 1.5 |
Reinstall the lug nuts until the wheel is snug against the hub. Do not fully tighten the lug nuts until the wheel has been lowered.
After the jack is removed, fully tighten the lug nuts in the order shown in the manual. The specification is 148 lb.ft (200 Nm) for M14 x 1.5 nuts and bolts with clean threads.
After a tire rotation, a flat repair, or any wheel removal, retighten to that torque within 100 miles (160 kilometers).
The torque footnote says the specification is for nut and bolt threads free of dirt and rust, and to use only Ford recommended replacement fasteners. A later F-150 manual prints 150 lb.ft (204 Nm). This page stays with the February 2018 third printing.
