Windshield wiper blades

Safety

• Set the power mode to VEHICLE OFF before you lift an arm.
• Do not drop the wiper arm onto the glass. The manual says that can damage the arm or the windshield.
• In cold weather the blades can freeze to the glass. The wiper chapter says to warm the windshield before you operate them.
• No blade length is printed. Do not guess one.

• Replacement blade rubber

  The procedure replaces the rubber in the holder. It does not print a blade length.

Steps

1. 01Park the arms in the maintenance position

   Set the power mode to VEHICLE OFF. Hold the wiper switch in MIST, set the power mode to ON, then back to VEHICLE OFF. Both arms move to the maintenance position shown in the manual's image.

2. 02Remove the driver-side arm first

   Lift the driver-side arm first, then the passenger side. Press and hold the tab and slide the holder off the arm. Pull the blade out of the end cap in the direction of the manual's arrow, then slide it the other way out of the holder.

3. 03Install the new rubber and return the arms

   Insert the flat side of the new blade onto the bottom of the holder until it is all the way in. Fit the end into the cap and slide the holder onto the arm until it locks. Lower the passenger-side arm first, then the driver side. Set the power mode to ON and hold MIST until both arms return to the normal position.
