Safety

• Do not start the engine with the air cleaner removed, and do not remove it while the engine is running.
• Do not let debris enter the air induction system. The manual says engine components can be damaged by foreign material.
• The housing illustration is not redrawn.

Steps

1. 01Release the clips and lift the cover

   Remove the clips that secure the air filter housing cover and carefully lift the cover. Remove the element.

2. 02Wipe the housing and seat the new element

   Wipe dirt from the housing and cover. Install the new element without crimping its edges between the housing and the cover.

3. 03Close the cover

   Install the cover and engage the clips. The parts table names that element FA-1943.
