Turn the engine switch off. Open the glove box and remove the tray.
Remove the cover by sliding it up, then pull the cover toward you. Remove the filter cover and pull the filter out of the filter outlet.
Replace the filter with a new one. When installing, follow the instructions indicated on the label. The book does not print a part number.
Publication OM04005U puts the cabin filter behind the glove box. The removal sequence includes a glove-box tray. Later Tacoma books drop that tray step, so this page stays with this printing. If airflow from the vents decreases dramatically, the filter may be clogged.
