Sub item 2 says replace the air cleaner element, replace the dust and pollen filter, and inspect the drive belt. The Maintenance Minder message is what times the filter on the normal schedule.
Footnote *3 says if you drive primarily in urban areas with high concentrations of soot from industry and diesel-powered vehicles, replace the dust and pollen filter every 15,000 miles (24,000 km).
The climate section says to replace the filter sooner when the vehicle is used in areas with high concentrations of dust. Contact a dealer for the replacement. This book does not print the housing steps.
The 2024 CR-V gas owner's manual calls this the dust and pollen filter. It collects pollen, dust, and other debris. Maintenance Minder messages say when to replace it. Sub item 2 is the code that includes the filter, the air cleaner element, and a drive-belt inspection.
Footnote *3 is narrower. It applies when the vehicle is driven primarily in urban areas with high concentrations of soot from industry and diesel-powered vehicles, and that interval is every 15,000 miles (24,000 km). High dust is a separate sentence: replace sooner, without a second mileage. The hybrid manual was not read. The Canadian maintenance table was not used for these U.S. model footnotes.
