Published repairs below cite a manual or a manufacturer chart. Coming soon pages are names only. Capacities and torque on this year stay on this year.
This year uses the owner's manual, part 84149414 A. The 2.0L and the 3.6L do not share a fill, and the 3.6L towing package is its own coolant row.
Oil, coolant, transmission fluid, brake fluid, both filters, spark plugs, wiper blades, wheel nuts, and the drive-belt figures are filed from that book. Tire pressures stay on the door label because that book does not print them in the capacities table.
2019 is owner's manual part 84149414 A. The 2.0L and the 3.6L each keep the row printed for that engine. Other Traverse years are not filed here.
Copied from the published guides for this year. Each figure stays with that guide and that guide's source. Open the guide before you use it.
| Guide | Item | Figure |
|---|---|---|
| Automatic transmission fluid | Fluid | DEXRON-VI automatic transmission fluid. |
| Automatic transmission fluid | Level | It is not necessary to check the transmission fluid level. A leak is the only reason for fluid loss. If you need the level checked, take the vehicle to the dealer. |
| Automatic transmission fluid | Normal chart | The normal additional-services chart that was read does not include a change-automatic-transmission-fluid row. |
| Automatic transmission fluid | Severe chart | The severe chart includes change automatic transmission fluid. The mile-column headers did not survive extraction, so no mile is stated. |
| Brake pads and rotors | Fluid | GM approved DOT 3 brake fluid, as indicated on the reservoir cap. GM part number 19353126, Canada 19353127. |
| Brake pads and rotors | Level | With the vehicle in P (Park) on a level surface, the level should be between the minimum and maximum marks. Do not top off the fluid. Adding fluid does not correct a leak. |
| Brake pads and rotors | Change | Replace brake fluid every five years. |
| Brake pads and rotors | Pads | Brake pads should be replaced as complete sets. The inspection is part of the 12,000 km (7,500 mi) tire-rotation services. No pad thickness is printed. |
| Cabin air filter | Part | GM 13508023, ACDelco CF185. |
| Cabin air filter | Interval | The normal and severe charts mark the row. Footnote (1) says or every two years, whichever comes first. The mile-column headers did not survive extraction, so no mile is stated. |
| Cabin air filter | Sooner | More frequent replacement may be needed in heavy traffic, poor air quality, high dust, or environmental allergens, or if airflow drops, windows fog, or there are odors. |
| Drive belt | Inspection | Visually inspect accessory drive belts. Footnote (5) says or every 10 years, whichever comes first. Look for fraying, excessive cracking, or damage, and replace if needed. |
| Drive belt | Routing | The book prints a routing drawing for the 2.0L L4 and a routing drawing for the 3.6L V6. The drawings are not redrawn here. |
| Drive belt | Squeak | The additional-maintenance section says belts may need replacing if they squeak or show cracking or splitting. |
| Engine air filter | Part | GM 23321606, ACDelco A3212C. |
| Engine air filter | 2.0L and 3.6L covers | Remove the five screws and lift the cover. Inspect or replace the filter. Lower the cover and secure it with the five screws. |
| Engine air filter | Cleaning | Lightly tap and shake the filter, away from the vehicle. Do not clean the filter or the components with water or compressed air. |
| Engine air filter | Interval | Footnote (3) says or every four years, whichever comes first. In dusty conditions, inspect at each oil change or more often. The mile-column headers did not survive, so no mile is stated. |
| Engine coolant | 2.0L | 11.1 L (11.7 qt). |
| Engine coolant | 3.6L without the V92 towing package | 14.6 L (15.4 qt). |
| Engine coolant | 3.6L with the V92 towing package | 16.7 L (17.6 qt). |
| Engine coolant | Mix | 50/50 mixture of clean, drinkable water and DEX-COOL coolant. DEX-COOL must meet GM Standard GMW3420. |
| Engine coolant | Protection | The 50/50 mix gives freezing protection down to −37 °C (−34 °F) and boiling protection up to 129 °C (265 °F). |
| Engine coolant | Change | The normal chart marks a drain-and-fill. Footnote (4) says or every five years, whichever comes first. The mile-column headers did not survive extraction, so no mile is stated. |
| Engine oil and filter | 2.0L with filter | 4.7 L (5.0 qt). Oil filter GM 12640445, ACDelco PF64. |
| Engine oil and filter | 3.6L with filter | 5.7 L (6.0 qt). Oil filter GM 19330000, ACDelco PF63E. |
| Engine oil and filter | Specification | Full synthetic engine oil that meets the dexos1 specification. ACDelco dexos1 full synthetic is recommended. |
| Engine oil and filter | Viscosity | SAE 5W-30. Below −29 °C (−20 °F), SAE 0W-30 may be used. It still has to meet the dexos1 specification. |
| Engine oil and filter | Oil life | Change within the next 1,000 km (600 mi) of the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message. Change at least once a year. If the system is reset accidentally, change at 5,000 km (3,000 mi) since the last oil change. |
| Spark plugs | 2.0L, VIN X | GM 12647827, ACDelco 41-125. Gap 0.75–0.90 mm (0.030–0.035 in). Automatic transmission. |
| Spark plugs | 3.6L, VIN W | GM 12622561, ACDelco 41-109. Gap 0.95–1.10 mm (0.037–0.043 in). Automatic transmission. |
| Spark plugs | Schedule | The normal chart has a separate replace-spark-plugs row for the 2.0L and for the 3.6L. The mile-column headers did not survive extraction, so no mile is stated. |
| Wheel lug nuts | English column | 140 lb ft. |
| Wheel lug nuts | Metric column | 190 next to the manual's unit glyph. The text layer shows that glyph as Y. |
| Windshield wiper blades | Driver | 60.0 cm (23.6 in). GM 84142870. |
| Windshield wiper blades | Passenger | 50.0 cm (19.7 in). GM 23360287. |
| Windshield wiper blades | Rear | 25.0 cm (9.8 in). GM 84166522. |
| Windshield wiper blades | Interval | The chart marks the row. Footnote (7) says or every 12 months, whichever comes first. |
