2020 Jeep Wrangler
2020 Wrangler automatic fluid is Mopar ZF 8&9 Speed ATF. The manual transmission and transfer case use ATF+4. Rear axle oil depends on the sales code.
Difficulty, time, and cost are estimates when this guide gives them. Torque is a cited figure, or it is left off.
Main source: 2020 Jeep Wrangler Owner's Manual, fourth edition, publication 20_JL_OM_EN_USC, fluids and lubricants (opens in a new tab), FCA US LLC, published 2019-11-27, read 2026-10-15.
Numbers on this page come from the cited source. Match the engine before you use a capacity or a torque. Do not work under a vehicle held only by a jack.
The fluid named for that unit
The chassis table names the fluids. It does not print a fill quantity or a drain procedure.

If the Jeep has an automatic, the fluid is Mopar ZF 8&9 Speed ATF or equivalent. If it has a manual, the fluid is Mopar ATF+4. The transfer case is also ATF+4.
Front axles are SAE 75W-85, API GL-5. Rear M200, sales code DRZ, is SAE 75W-140, API GL-5. Rear M220, sales codes DRE or DRF, is SAE 75W-85, API GL-5, and Trac-Lok models need a friction modifier.
None of those chassis rows prints a capacity. Brake fluid is Mopar DOT 3, SAE J1703. The power steering reservoir uses Mopar Electric Steering Pump Fluid.
The fluid-capacities table in this book prints fuel, engine oil, and coolant. It does not print a transmission, transfer-case, or axle quantity, so none is added.
